We are so over the top excited to tell you that The Wedding Cottage won not 1, but 2 Oregon Bride awards this year!  Every year Oregon Bride magazine gives brides and fellow industry professionals the chance to vote to see who is the best of the best in the Oregon wedding industry.  And this year The Wedding Cottage won:

“Best Wedding Supplies” & “Best Bridesmaid & Groomsmen Gifts”!

Here I am showing off our awards…I am sure you are now thinking, wait, why is she wearing a wedding dress???  Well I am actually not wearing just any dress, I am actually wearing my own wedding dress that I wore almost a year ago!  This year the fashion show was a bit different as the models were real Oregon Brides who had just gotten married in the last year and had bought their dresses at Portland Bridal Shops.  All these ladies got the chance to put on their wedding dress one more time and strut their stuff on the runway (including me!).

These girls know how to work the runway, right!?

Once I saw that runway I got a little nervous so I had to think of all those nights I watched Project Runway, and figure out how I could channel my inner Heidi Klum!  Well I know I couldn’t have looked less like Ms. Klum, but it was fun to have an intense model hairstyle (no it was not quite like that the day I was married!) and makeup by the lovely ladies of Event Cosmetics.

Overall it was a really fun event, a great excuse to wear my dress again, and of course the icing on the cake…Winning those two awards!
