Wow, what a fantastic weekend it was at the Portland Bridal Show!  It was great to get the chance to meet so many brides, grooms and their friends and family – we can’t wait to welcome them to the store.  I love show days because there is always so much excitement and energy, and it is fun to meet new people and show them a taste of what our store has to offer.  I always want to bring everything from store to the show but with a 10×10 booth, clearly this isn’t possible!  I always over pack but I just don’t want to leave out any of our cute items.  This is the biggest show of the year and I couldn’t have done the show without my wonderful husband Jacob!  He helped me setup the booth, worked the show all weekend, and drove out to The Wedding Cottage 3 times in one day to get more brochures .  Oh and did I mention he also helped me breakdown the booth?  What a lucky girl I am!  Here are some before and after photos of our booth.  We set it up in record time!  Hope everyone had a great time!

We’re packed up and ready to head over to the convention center to begin setting up for the largest bridal show of the year.  This weekend is none other than the Portland Bridal Show!  With fashion shows to watch, vendors to meet, cakes to try, and lots of eye-candy, this is a great show to get inspiration and ideas.  We are bringing all our favorite accessories and invitation samples to show off so I hope you will come by the booth to say hi!

And if seeing our smiling faces at the show isn’t enough to tempt you to our booth, we’ll be giving out 10% off coupons that can be used for invitations and save the dates!  To top it off our signature Bride/Mrs. totes will be on sale, and when you buy a tote at the show it comes with a 40% off coupon for one item in the store!

We are so excited that some of our lovely wedding accessories were highlighted yesterday on KOIN Channel 6 Local News!  Denise Hall, the general manager at Bravo, did a fabulous job letting everyone know about the Bravo Wedding Affair taking place this weekend, and showcasing some of our favorite products. 

We especially loved how Denise modeled our newest Bride Tote, that says “Bride” on one side and “Mrs.” on the other.  It is perfect for all your wedding needs, and it can be used as you jet off for your honeymoon!  We are going to be selling these fun totes at the Bravo Wedding Affair this Sunday, November 21st from 11am-4pm at The Embassy Suites Downtown Hotel.  The best part (aside from them being $9.50 at the show when they are usually $19.50) is that when you buy a tote at the show you receive a 40% off coupon that can be used for any regularly priced item at The Wedding Cottage!

The Bravo! Wedding Affair was such a fun day with tons of cute brides and grooms along with their friends and family.  This event is a great way to hear about so many upcoming weddings and to see all the latest trends with decor, food, flowers, and of course invitations and wedding accessories ; )

Our Booth at the Portland Bridal Show

The Wedding Cottage hosted a booth at the 2010 Portland Bridal Show.  The show was a huge success! We loved having the chance to meet so many engaged couples and their friends and families.  I was really impressed to meet one groom who came without his bride!  He promised her he’d go, but she had to go out of town at the last minute.  He kept his promise and went without her…too cute!  We handed out over 500 tote bags and 1000 brochures with information about our Cottage.  We hope everyone liked our booth and got lots of great ideas for their upcoming weddings.
