We have been busy painting our new space, and doing a little construction. Here is a “Before” pic of the front room…
We’ll be painting all the walls, the floors, trim and hope to be done painting by the end of this week. I can’t wait till I can show off some “After” photos of the new space!
In case you didn’t see our video, we want to announce the exciting news that The Wedding Cottage is moving to Multnomah Village! It will now be located inside our new gift shop, Peachtree Gifts. We will have our same great wedding accessories, and same great wedding invitations but now in a new home! We will be closed the week of Thanksgiving to move and will re-open the Saturday after Thanksgiving in our new spot.

I absolutely love Fall…the crisp air, chilly but sunny days, leaves changing, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffins, and honestly, anything pumpkin! Which is why when we got in our newest candles I couldn’t wait to burn one… Pumpkin Spice Candles! And these candles did not disappoint – Our little store now smells deliciously like Fall.

These candles burn wonderfully and will get you in the mood for those crisp Autumn days. They are $7.00 each, or 3 for $20. The burn time is 20 hours.

UPS arrived today and I was giddy opening up the box to see our brand new invitation book called Jenn Sprinkle. The invitations are fun and fresh and the overall style is perfect for the modern bride. Each invitation is “all inclusive” and includes the main invitation, an RSVP Postcard, Reception information and Map. Below you can see what I mean by “all inclusive” .

The RSVP Postcard – It is attached to the invite and then your guests tear it off and send it back to you. No fuss, just fun!
On the right is where we can print the reception information (if the reception is at a different location).

Can you believe Football season is right around the corner? How did this summer go so fast!? With games right around the corner we are excited to announce that we are now carrying Duck and Beaver accessories in the store!
Now that these items have arrived I’ll need to do some shopping in my own store to root for my team. I am a Duck at heart (born and raised in Eugene) but of course we also have fabulous OSU accessories for all of our Beaver customers (which usually out number the Duck Fans!).
Today we opened up a big box of new items including earrings, spirit bands, flower pins, necklaces, key chains and more! The full selection is in the store, but here are some photos of all the new things we have…
Go Pac-12 (still getting used to that!)
Our neighbor is a very talented photographer and I thought it was about time I introduced her! Next door to our store (in fact in the building we used to be in) is Emily Andrews Portrait Design studio. Emily has been photographing for over 16 years, and you can tell when you meet her and see the studio that it is her passion. She does senior portraits, new baby photos, maternity shots, kids, couples, and of course family photos!
If you have ever tried to take a photo of a little one, or a family, you know it’s not easy to get everyone to smile (especially at the same time), but Emily has a knack for getting everyone to look their best. Aside from the fact that she has a sweet demeanor and makes you feel right at home, her photos are amazing. My little sister had her senior portraits done by Emily…

One of my favorite things about her studio is the garden in the back. Emily has created a little world behind the house with unique sets and backdrops. Here is my favorite one…the Beach Shack!
